Jon Dutton, CEO at Rugby League World Cup 2021

Jon is the Chief Executive of the Rugby League World Cup 2021 (postponed until 2022), a tournament with a purpose. Jon has been involved in the project since the inception in late 2015 having successfully led the bid for the tournament. Before this role Jon was the Director of Projects & People for the Rugby Football League.

Jon is a sports management graduate with over 27 years’ experience in the sports industry. Jon has previously worked for the PGA European Golf Tour, Manchester FA which included a secondment to UEFA and ran his own sports consultancy company. Jon was the Operations Director for the Rugby League World Cup 2013, Director of Readiness for the Tour de France Grand Depart in 2014 and International Federation Tournament Commissioner for the Rugby League World Cup 2017 in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Jon is a member of UK Sport Major Events Panel, a specialist advisory body.
