Claire is an ACA qualified accountant and Fellow of the ICAEW. She trained with Deloitte where she spent 4.5 years working in Audit. After leaving Deloitte she completed her PGCE in Business Education.

She is an experienced lecturer in accounting and finance having lectured at the University of Manchester (UoM) for the past 5.5 years. During her time at UoM she lectured in financial accounting, management accounting, strategic management, sport business and sport finance. She is also an experienced dissertation supervisor with her areas of expertise and interest being football finance and financial regulation in football.

Adopting a student-centred approach in her teaching, her focus is on value added and high student satisfaction. As a result, she was awarded a number of accolades at UoM for her role in dissertation supervision and academic advising and also an award for outstanding teaching in the Faculty of Humanities. During her time at the University of Manchester, she also served as a Year Group Tutor and Recruitment & Admissions Officer providing extensive experience in supporting students in a pastoral capacity.
