Lecturer in Sports Coaching & Research Methods
Dan has over 12 years’ experience in the football industry and within the higher education environment. Some of Dan’s experience as seen him spend over 4 years’ as the Academy Director of a soccer club in the USA, over 3 years’ experience lecturing in Sports Science and Coaching and most recently sees him enter his seventh season as an academy coach at Burnley FC where he has coached a variety of age groups in the FP and YDP. Dan is currently undertaking his Professional Doctorate in Elite Performance which is investigating how best to support coaches to understand and implement strategies to develop psychological characteristics within youth academy football players.
