Coach Educator
Jack previously worked with Bolton Wanderers, initially as an Academy Coach with the under 16s, before then introducing the concept of the club becoming a centre for the delivery of all coaching qualifications. This proved to be a hugely successful enterprise and resulted in the club being at the forefront of player/coach development over the next decade.
An ex-professional footballer of 14 years in England and overseas, this played a significant role in Jack’s coaching philosophy and forms the basis of his development programmes. He gained his FA Advanced Coaching Licence in 1991 and his UEFA A Coaching Licence in 1993, and currently works with the FA delivering their qualifications from Level 1 through to the UEFA B Licence as an FA Licenced Affiliate Tutor. Jack is also qualified as an FA Academy Manager and has extensive industry qualifications.
Jack’s coaching philosophy is very much learner focused, using a holistic approach to learning through his Long Term Player Development model.
