James is an experienced media lecturer, having worked in higher education since 2015. Before entering the teaching profession he was a news and sport journalist for a number of regional and national newspapers/broadcasters, including the Liverpool Echo, Daily Mail, Daily Star, Daily Express and the BBC, for over 20 years.
