Lecturer in BSc (Hons) Sports Psychology.

After completing his BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Limerick in 2015, Darren went on to obtain an MSc in Applied Sport Psychology from St. Mary’s University, Twickenham in 2016. Following this, Darren successfully secured a fully-funded academic scholarship to pursue his PhD at St. Mary’s. The PhD, conducted in association with Palace for Life Foundation, Official Crystal Palace F.C. Charity, examined life skill development and coach education in a primary school P.E. context.

Although sports psychology is now Darren’s primary area of focus, previous employment has seen him work in areas such as biomechanics and strength and conditioning. Such roles have afforded him the opportunity to work with elite athletes in the NBA, MLB, and Serie A, as well as aspiring professionals in academy football structures.
