Applicant Taster Days
As an applicant, feel free to utilise the opportunity to book on to one of our upcoming Taster Days throughout February, March and April 2024! This will provide you with first hand experience of what to expect as you start your journey with us at UCFB.
These 90 minute sessions will include:
- Further information on your chosen degree programme, including modules, assessment methods and career pathways;
- 45-minute sample lecture session from your academic;
- Hear from an existing student to talk about their experiences at UCFB;
- Live Q&A session with our academic team.

The expansion of the UCFB Manchester Campus and changes to the location of our teaching facilities will be implemented from September 2023. We will be making significant commitments to expand and improve our facilities, representing an investment value of £16 million. This wider campus growth will enable our students to experience the best locations in Manchester and will provide an exciting opportunity to bring forward the following key elements:

Industry Speaker Sessions
Students have the opportunity to learn from senior practitioners in the football and sports business. Guest speakers visit UCFB to deliver lectures to students on an area of their expertise and to answer questions.
Guest speakers include the Chief Executives of Premier League football clubs, the directors of major corporations, senior figures in football governing bodies and in the core related industries of finance, marketing, media and broadcasting, along with leading journalists and academics.

Student Services
The Student Services Team is here to support you across a wide range of areas throughout your studies. Our priority is to ensure that you enjoy life at UCFB and feel supported to succeed both academically and personally.
The UCFB Athletic Union enables students to take part in a number of sports during their time here, whether competitive or recreational. We have teams across both campuses for male and female students, including football, rugby, squash and basketball, with more sports being added all the time.

Student Finance
When you fill in your form for the Student Loans Company, make sure you quote the relevant institution title and the course title for the degree programme of your choice. For new students joining in September, please type in the institution 'University of East London'. Then also type in the course that you will be studying. Remember to select the correct campus and check whether it is with or without a foundation year.

Undergraduate scholarships & bursaries
UCFB is proud to offer an extensive suite of scholarships and bursaries to support students as they embark on their study.
UCFB Bursaries are intended to help level the playing field for students from lower-income, disadvantaged and traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in Higher Education.
UCFB Scholarships have been designed to encourage students from all backgrounds and abilities to embrace their time at UCFB and graduate with more than just their university degree. These initiatives offer students the chance to become a part of the community, gain a number of individual skills that will enhance their CV and employment prospects alongside developing their overall UCFB experience.
