BA (Hons) Football Coaching & Management - Kevin Green

Kevin has been with The FA for over 11 years in a range of roles, ranging from a Skills Coach, to FA Skills Team Leader, and now a Regional Coach Mentor Officer for London. He has a background in Sport Science and was previously Technical Director for the Middlesex FA Centre of Excellence.

BA (Hons) Football Business and Media - Paul Morrissey
Having gained a BA (Hons) Journalism degree from Southampton Institute (Solent University) in 1999, Paul initially worked for online company bigfanof.com, which specialised in producing personal websites for professional sports people.
 
After three-and-a-half years, Paul joined Crystal Palace’s media team where he stayed for two years, working predominantly on the club’s website and matchday programme.
 
In 2004, Paul became Millwall’s Programme Editor and remained in this role until 2006 when he joined QPR’s media team, initially as Editor of the club’s online TV service, QPR World.
 
During the past 13 years, Paul’s position has evolved and in April 2018 he became the QPR’s Head of Media & Communications.
BA (Hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism - Ian Murray
Ian Murray is an award-winning journalist and editor with 40-years’ experience in newsrooms and working within the British media.
 
He is currently the Executive Director of the Society of Editors (SoE) and in this role heads-up the running of the body that includes some 400 editors as members across the full media landscape.
 
Ian began his career in journalism in 1979 when he started work as a trainee reporter. At the age of 25 he was considered Britain's youngest editor when at the helm of the Kidderminster Shuttle and Times and Stourport News titles. He later worked on newspapers in Birmingham and Dorset.
 
Ian's sports journalism experience started as a 'stringer' for regional sports papers in the 80s and culminated in his role as Editor-in-Chief of one of the last regional Saturday sports papers: The Pink. He was one of the first editors to insist sport was represented at the daily news conference, recognising its growing importance to readers as more than just a back-of-the-book subject.
 
In 1998 Ian was appointed as Editor of the Southern Daily Echo in Southampton and was later appointed Editor in Chief of Newsquest’s Hampshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire titles.
BA (Hons) Football Business and Marketing - Matt Hudson
Matt has over 20 years' experience in the sports marketing field, with eighteen of those having been within the professional football environment. Matt's career has seen him work as Media & Marketing Manager for Colchester United at a time where the club has moved stadia, hosted four major concerts and six international fixtures. Under his leadership, the club won the EFL's Family Club of the Year in 2015.
 
More recently, he has moved to work for London based health and wellness company Thrive Tribe, which looks after the men's weight loss football programme, MAN v FAT and a host of other public health led initiatives.
 
Matt is also Deputy Media Director for football governing body CONIFA and also carries out freelance work for the FA and the EFL.
BA (Hons) Sports Business & Sports Broadcasting – Jonathan Legard
More than 30 years’ experience as a sports broadcaster, reporting and commentating at some of the world’s top sporting events for TV and radio.
 
These include four Olympic Games, two FIFA World Cups, UEFA European Championship and Champions League, Premier League and the Ryder Cup as well as F1 commentator for BBC TV and BBC Radio 5 Live .
 
Sports Presenter on BBC News, BBC World and BBC R4 Today programme.
 
Most recently Facebook Live and TV reporter for the Red Bull Air Race and TV Producer on the DCL (Drone Champions League).

BA (Hons) Sports Business and Sports Law - Craig Harris

Ranked as a leading sports law barrister by The Legal 500, Craig has particular expertise in disciplinary and regulatory cases across a wide range of sports, built on fourteen years’ previous experience conducting some of the country’s most serious and high-profile criminal trials. Now focused on the sports law aspect of his practice, Craig is retained counsel to the League Managers Association, representing managers in the Premier League and EFL, and sits as Chair of disciplinary panels for the Football Association, the Football Association of Wales, the Welsh Rugby Union and England Boxing, amongst others. Recent high-profile cases in which he has acted include the Fernando Forestieri alleged racism case, the World Snooker Association match-fixing scandal and an investigation into matters relating to the 2024 Olympic Games on behalf of World Sailing.

BA (Hons) Physical Education - Courtney Gray

Courtney is a Secondary School Teacher of Physical Education. She has been teaching for 4 years, 2 of which have been at her current school, Welland Park Academy in Leicestershire. She is also a qualified swimming instructor. Courtney studied Sport and Exercise Science at undergraduate level and went on to complete her Physical Education PGCE. Courtney has a huge passion for sport and from a very young age has been involved in Netball, Athletics, Swimming, Basketball and Tennis. She has been playing Basketball for 11 years and currently plays in the Division 1, Women's National Basketball League for Thames Valley Cavaliers.

BA (Hons) International Football Business - Gustavo Spanholi

Gustavo Spanholi is an innovative, results-driven international football business professional whose experience spans across Football Clubs & Stadiums, Football Federations, Sports Mobile Marketing Start-ups, Football Business Education and Marketing & Communications agencies, in a variety of international locations. Currently, Gustavo is working as an International Engagement Manager at The FA.

BA (Hons) Stadium & Events Management - Chris Falvey

Chris is an experienced Events, Operations and Projects Manager, with over 10 years of his career being in the sports industry. Having amassed project and operations experience in the early stage of his career, Chris was able to utilise and enhance those skills in a variety of roles at The FA. Having started working with England Women’s youth teams, supporting on FA Cup Finals and England matches at Wembley, seconding onto UEFA Tournaments and a Champions League Final and travelling with the Lionesses. Chris culminated his time at The FA by overseeing the operation of England’s six men’s youth teams.

BSc (Hons) Sports Psychology - Jodine Williams

Suffering an injury early in her Track and Field career, led Jodine towards Sports and Exercise Psychology. After obtaining a masters in Psychology of Sports and Exercise, Jodine is now continuing her journey onto the BPS stage 2 chartership in Sports and Exercise Psychology. Alongside her role as a trainee Sports Psychologist, Jodine also works at Nuffield Health gym educating companies and staff on the importance of wellbeing and exercise.  Her journey so far has allowed her to work with elite athletes including sprinters, curling athletes and footballers.

Mark is one of the most recognised voices in the world of live sport. On air, Mark's reputation is for driving interviews with the questions true fans want answers to, whether on talkSPORT or Amazon Prime Video. He has previously worked for BBC Sport and Sky TV.

BA (Hons) Football Business & Marketing - Greg Sullivan

Greg has been with The FA for over three years, originally planning all aspects of match day entertainment and fan engagement at events such as the FA Cup Final, to now looking after marketing for Wembley Stadium and the England national teams. He’s previously worked on major events including the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.

BA (Hons) Football Business & Finance – James Bett

James is a Chartered Accountant with a huge range of experience across the financial sector, including his current role at The Football Association. Before joining The FA, James was previously Head of Financial Control at Vocalink (a Mastercard company) and Group Financial Controller at Melbourne IT, amongst other roles.

BA (Hons) Football Business & Finance – Steve Cook

Starting his career at Bradford City, Steve moved on to Burnley FC before returning to the Yorkshire club as Company Accountant.

BA (Hons) Football Coaching & Management - Keith Mayer
Keith has been a part time academy coach at Liverpool FC Academy since 2015, focusing on development phase players, as well as supporting the development of the academy’s foundation phase coaches.
 
Alongside being both a qualified UEFA ‘A’ Licensed Coach & FA Affiliate Coach Educator, Keith is the Co-author of #1 best seller: ‘Gold Dust: How to Become a More Effective Coach, Quickly’.
BA (Hons) Football Business & Marketing - Tom Jarvis
Since graduating in 2015, Tom has worked within multiple football clubs across the UK, starting his career as a Media intern at Burnley FC. With roles at Southend United FC and Wycombe Wanders FC, Tom now sees himself monitoring media content, including all social platforms and post-match interviews, at Championship side Blackburn Rovers FC.
BA (Hons) Football Business & Media - Chris Hall
Chris has reported the region's sports news on ITV Granada Reports since 2003. This includes presenting live in studio and in far flung locations such as Las Vegas, Moscow, Athens and Auckland.
 
He has also made many appearances on the ITV network news, Good Morning Britain and as pitchside reporter for ITV's sports coverage. Chris began his career as a newspaper journalist, working on both news and sport stories for a variety of regional and national media.
 
He also worked as press officer for Wigan Athletic and acted as the official on-stage host of UEFA's Europa League group stage draw.

BA (Hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism - Dave Swanton

Dave presented a popular radio show for 18 years at BBC Lancashire, a role in which he was offered after joining the broadcaster in 1998 as co-host of the Rugby League Programme. Dave also spent an exciting 17 years at Sale Sharks as their Customer Service Director & Head of Media. This role not only allowed Dave to explore the industry within a professional sports club, but also saw him made a Director.

BA (Hons) Sports Business & Coaching - Chris Hough
Chris has been with Accrington Stanley FC since January 2019 progressing from Foundation Phase Coach to Head of Academy Analysis and Individual Player Recruitment Development. Previously, Chris held the position of Lead Coach for Middlewich Town FC.
 
He has also recently completed his Masters in Football Coaching & Analysis.

With a 10-year career at Manchester United FC, Neil’s role as Pre-Academy Manager sees him manage over 30 talent centres around Manchester for boys aged between 6-8 years old. The aim of the centres are to identify talented players at a young age in order to allow them to develop at the club’s academy from the age of 9. Neil is an experienced coach holding a UEFA B license, alongside Youth Modules awards 1-3.

After growing up in Australia, Kait developed a passion for all sport, completing her Double Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management and Marketing at the University of Canberra.
 
Kait has worked in professional sport for 10 years with the Canberra Raiders, Chicago Bulls, Betfred Super League, The Rugby Football League and now the Rugby League World Cup 2021.
 
Kait specialises in marketing and entertainment operations at major events and tournaments. She has shown the success of her passion which is evidenced through her continuous ability to produce sell-out campaigns and record-breaking fan engagement strategies on a domestic and international scale.
