Before making the decision to join UCFB, Lianna, a BA (Hons) Sports Business & Sports Broadcasting graduate, worked as a broadcaster on various shopping channels in the UK.

During her time at UCFB, Lianna made sure that she continued to gain broadcasting experience alongside her degree to build her CV and maximise her employability prospects. This included invaluable placements at the likes of Sky Sports and BBC Sport.

Her time at UCFB Wembley also coincided with Lianna beginning work as a presenter for Wembley Live, the in-stadium radio station on event days. This meant Lianna was regularly presenting to 90,000 people at England games, FA Cup finals, NFL events, concerts and latterly Tottenham Hotspur fixtures.

Where Lianna still does regular work for the station, she also works freelance for Time 107.5 FM in east London and for Radio Essex. You may also recognise Lianna’s voice from the latest UCFB TV advert, which first aired on BT Sport in August 2019.

Commenting on her time at UCFB, Lianna said: “When I first started at UCFB I knew how to talk and present, but here I learnt how to edit and write. These are the skills that you need to be a successful broadcaster. One of the great things about my programme was that we were able to get involved with both Tottenham and QPR’s U21s. Here, we experienced interviewing the players and producing match reports, both of which are crucial skills to have when working in the sports industry.”
