A group of UCFB students have joined up-and-coming football blog The Football Forecast in order to gain some invaluable experience in sport journalism.

The Football Forecast has been running for just over six months now and offers football content from the top international leagues all the way down to non-league football. The UCFB students have played a key role in the early success and growth of the website, including being instrumental in the site’s highly successful Transfer Deadline Day coverage. This involved a live blog feed recording all of the historic day’s transfer activity as it happened, along with various articles posted throughout the day.

Football Business & Media student, Kieran Moss said:

“The Football Forecast has been a fantastic opportunity for myself and the other UCFB students to get a taste of what football journalism is like. The site is a platform which I can use to benefit my future career.”

Founder of Crowther Media and Manager of The Football Forecast, Alex Crowther remarked:

“I’m very proud to have students from UCFB joining The Football Forecast. All of their work is at a very high standard and I would not hesitate to recruit more UCFB writers if the opportunity arose.”

Off the back of this, Football Business & Finance student Harry Sherman and Football Business & Media student Danny Cook have gained an opportunity to write for UCFB. On this, Danny commented:

“This is a great opportunity for me and Harry to develop our writing skills and to assist UCFB at the same time. We are very thankful to UCFB, and in particular the content team, for encouraging us to get involved.”

The UCFB students who are currently writing for The Football Forecast are: Harry Sherman, Finn Savage, Abdul Kalek, Nathan Hodge, Jack Gladman, Jonny Naidoo, Will Lindsey, Callum Wright, Thomas Scholes, Charles Kelly-Davis, Kieran Moss and Danny Cook.
