One of Global Institute of Sport’s Deans has launched the latest edition of his highly successful global textbook, focusing on Events Management.

Dr Nick Wilde, Dean of School, Sports Business and Management at GIS, has launched the third edition of the highly successful global textbook ‘Events Management.’

The book, which is a core text in several universities in Australia and the United States, was first introduced in 2012 and is a leading textbook for event management and sports business students.

This edition features a case study on the Mercedes Benz Arena in Atlanta, one of GIS’ global hubs, as well as industry insight pieces from UCFB and GIS colleagues.

These colleagues including Paul Fletcher, Neil Silver, Mario Zambas, Dr Rob Wilson and Jarno Stegeman.

Dr Wilde said: "This book has evolved over the past 12 years, and what excites me and my co-authors is the fact that many of our peers recommend the book to their students.

“The book has a truly global feel, with case studies and examples from more than 20 different countries."

The book is now on sale and will hopefully help students in their understanding of events management.
