Football Business and Finance student Leah Jakeman secured work experience with HN Sports Agency over the summer. She has been working under the MD FIFA Licensed Agent Hayden Evans, who has been representing footballers since 1992.
HN Sports are one of the UK’s top sports agencies. They have negotiated contracts at all levels; from Premier League contracts for England Internationals to first Pro Contracts for young scholars.
On a day to day basis, Leah has been collating information about football players of interest to the organisation both domestically and internationally. These players are typically individuals who are potentially of interest to teams and agencies that HN Sports Agency are linked with.
Speaking of her time on work experience, Leah said, “I am overjoyed that I have sought out the opportunity to do some work experience that is very particular to my ultimate career aspirations.
“I can’t help but hope that this opens some promising doors for me whilst I’m embarking on my journey at UCFB and in the football industry.
“I am extremely proud that I am considered trustworthy enough to enter this type of confidential environment.
“It seems unreal that I’m actually in this type of environment where people are negotiating contracts involving huge sums of money and securing deals. I have no doubt that the agent and legal pathway in football is the career I wish to pursue.”
