UCFB has been ranked as the best higher education institution in the UK for employment prospects.

The world-first sports education institution polled number one out of 425 in the employment prospects category at the University Compare Annual Student Experience Awards, which is based on 10,000 student and graduate reviews from around the country.

In the poll, UCFB scored 4.63 out of 5, and 92.6% of participants would choose to recommend UCFB, which has state-of-the-art campuses in London and Manchester, with Wembley and Etihad stadiums at their heart.

UCFB also polled 16th in the top 100 institutions for student experience, with a score of 4.18 and a 94.9% recommendation rate.

UCFB has always maintained that students require three elements to make themselves employable in the sports industry: a degree, industry contacts and specific work experience. UCFB’s close links to the industry – which includes partnerships with the likes of The Football Association and the Rugby Football League – enables students to gain exciting and informative work experience opportunities at the highest level of sport.

One review on the website, from BA (Hons) Football Business & Marketing graduate Manfredi Miyashita, read: “UCFB is truly a one in a lifetime opportunity. The degree’s it offers along with the connections and work placements it provides is unmatched in the business. Facilities are of the highest standards and put you in the best conditions to efficiently do your work. The guest speakers that come in are all experienced people within the sports industry and all provide valuable insights to how the football industry works and how to get the most out of it.”

Neil Silver, UCFB’s head of employment and enrichment, said: “We are delighted by these rankings because they go to show that the dedication, passion, and sheer hard work being undertaken by UCFB staff in this area is reaping the rewards our students deserve.”
