UCFB finance department welcomed guest lecturer Nick Whittaker from Bibby Financial, as he delivered a Continued Professional Development (CPD) accredited workshop to the Football Business & Finance students.
In conjunction with UCFB’s student CV enhancement programme, the workshop mainly focused on credit control and included subjects such as factoring and invoice discounting; areas that are being used more and more by today’s football clubs that are looking to become self-sustainable and adhere to Financial Fair Play regulations.
The CPD accredited training course is part of a number of new workshops that are currently being introduced to the UCFB module pathways. CPD combines different methodologies to learning, such as training workshops, best practice techniques and ideas sharing, all focused for an individual to improve their skills and competencies. This industry recognised accreditation will further enhance the UCFB students’ CVs in preparing them to enter their future workplaces upon graduation.
