UCFB Etihad Campus Men’s 1st bounced back from their opening day disappointment with an impressive 4-0 victory at home over MMU 4th.

The hosts got off to a flyer as Mark West won a penalty just two minutes into the game. The winger picked himself up and converted calmly to the goalkeeper’s left hand side.

It was West on the scoresheet once again after half an hour. Salou Jallow played West through who slotted underneath the onrushing keeper to put UCFB firmly in the driving seat.

MMU began to grow into the game as the half came to a close but their dominance didn’t pay off as they failed to reduce the deficit.

After the break, UCFB flew out the traps once more. A nicely worked move down the left hand side was finished into an empty net by Jallow to make it 3-0.

UCFB were comfortable in possession for the remainder of the game as they continued to create chances. Substitute Henry Limpitishi finished off the rout with a long range effort, curling the ball past the goalkeeper to his right hand side.
