New students were given a big UCFB welcome during the eagerly anticipated annual Freshers’ Week.

First year undergraduate students, as well as second and third years, across both UCFB campuses were treated to a number of exciting events throughout the week as once again a record number of students started their journey with UCFB. Masters students in Wembley also joined in the fun.

At UCFB Etihad Campus in Manchester, students were treated to a raft of entertainment, including the always popular five-a-side tournament, night time fun at the Bierkeller in the city centre and a hilarious comedy night.

Down in London at UCFB Wembley, a private cinema screening of the horror film ‘It’ and an evening at Craven Cottage watching Fulham take on Hull City in the Championship were the standout highlights.

Dan Watkins, student experience coordinator at UCFB Wembley, said: “It was great to see so many students engaging in our Freshers’ activities. We received some really positive feedback from the students that attended and it is shaping up to be a great year for student experience. We have a lot of exciting ideas for future events, trips and campaigns. There really is something for everyone!”
