UCFB is delighted to announce that TV presenter Matt Lorenzo and a panel of senior staff from The National League will speak to UCFB students this week as part of the Executive Guest Speaker Series.

Lorenzo, whose career has stretched from newspapers to radio to television, and a panel of senior members from The National League, including chief executive Michael Tattersall, will appear at UCFB Wembley and UCFB Etihad Campus on Wednesday 15th November respectively.

Matt Lorenzo

Lorenzo was the first sports presenter to appear on Sky TV when it launched after a career in newspapers, BBC TV and BBC Radio. He became the youngest-ever anchor of a networked World Cup in 1994.

Since then he has hosted football and cricket games, worked with Bernie Ecclestone as anchor of Sky’s F1 Digital service and hosted the Sky Sports News breakfast show. He later launched The Times and Sunday Times’ online football service.

The National League panel

Three members of staff from UCFB partners The National League will speak with students about life in non-league football.

Chief executive Michael Tattersall, who’s also a member of UCFB’s Employability & Enhancement panel, operations director Colin Peake and events manager Louise Edwards will take questions from students, explain their roles within the organisation and detail further how UCFB students can get involved with the league and its clubs.

The panel will be hosted by Dr. Brian Barwick, a member of UCFB’s Employability & Enhancement panel and chairman of The National League.
