UCFB and its Global Institute of Sport are delighted to announce the extension of its thriving partnership with Off The Pitch (OTP).

Originally launched in 2020, the partnership provides UCFB and GIS students, and staff, with full access to OTP’s insightful club finance comparison tool and website.

Formed in 2019, OTP delivers unrivalled football business journalism and insight, powered by a database and state-of-the-art business intelligence tool which will allow students to compare financial data, and much more, dating back to 2008 from more than 240 clubs.

In addition to the detailed finance comparison tool, OTP offers daily research into the world of football business via its productive news section. All of these tools will give UCFB and GIS students even greater access to the football and sports industry, and allow them to gain further knowledge on how industry leaders think and behave, along with the huge financial numbers behind it.

GIS’ Chris Winn, programme leader for MSc Football Business, has been a media contributor to Off The Pitch for several years, and strongly endorses their football finance tool for use across all relevant UCFB and GIS programmes of study.

Off The Pitch joins a long and illustrious list of institutions that UCFB and GIS is proud to call partners, including The Football Association, The National League and Kick It Out.

Commenting on the partnership’s renewal, UCFB Governor and GIS President Sharona Friedman said: “We’re thrilled to be able to continue our relationship with Off The Pitch.

“Off The Pitch’s club finance tool is an incredible piece of work which can only be of huge benefit to our students and staff, so I’m delighted that Mads and his team will continue to work with us and offer their services. I urge all of our students to log on and engage with this fantastic database during their studies.”

Off The Pitch CEO and co-founder Mads Meisner Christensen added: “We are really happy and proud to be able to continue offering our services to UCFB and GIS students and aid them in their degree studies. It is a huge pleasure working with an innovative and forward thinking institution as UCFB and GIS.”
