UCFB is delighted to announce a renewed partnership with leading football magazine She Kicks that will see two female students awarded a unique internship worth up to £3,000.

The scholarship is open to applicants who can demonstrate that a UCFB degree will help them with their career ambitions. The internship will take place at She Kicks or a partner publication, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered up to a maximum value of £3,000.

The successful pair will take part in activities that could include editorial, marketing and events. Previous interns at She Kicks have had the opportunity to visit and report on the FIFA U17’s Women’s World Cup in Jordan and attend Soccerex, the biggest networking event in world football.

Applicants will be selected based on their academic profile, or extra-curricular activities such as community engagement and volunteering.

UCFB is a world-first in higher education, offering university degree programmes in the football, sport and events industries. Students study in and around UCFB’s two state-of-the-art campuses at Wembley Stadium, London, and the Etihad Stadium, Manchester. She Kicks is the online community and bi-monthly magazine dedicated to women’s and girls’ football, promoting all levels of the game.

The She Kicks Scholarship is just one of a number available at UCFB across many disciplines.

Anthony Nolan, Commercial Manager at She Kicks, said: “By offering UCFB students these internship opportunities, we know we’ll be gaining two driven, ambitious and talented students who will be ready to apply themselves into their roles. Previous UCFB students we’ve had work with us have been a great addition to the team, and their work has greatly helped She Kicks, as well as benefit the students.”

Sharona Friedman, Chief Marketing Officer at UCFB, said: “We’re delighted to once again team up with She Kicks to offer further fantastic internship opportunities to female UCFB students. UCFB places huge significance on our students gaining vital work experience throughout their time with us, and the opportunities She Kicks can offer in a variety of roles will be a superb benefit to the successful applicants.”
