UCFB is delighted to announce the launch of its Sport Law Clinic, a consultation event that will be held exclusively at Wembley Stadium.

The event takes place on Wednesday, 6th November and will involve a solicitor providing pro bono legal advice for both UCFB staff and students regarding any sport related issues.

In addition, the event is set to be part of a series, with a further clinic set to take place on Wednesday, 4th December.

Commenting on the opportunity, Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Sports Business and Sports Law, Dr. Alexander Chrysanthou said: “We’re proud to announce details for our upcoming Sports Law Clinic for UCFB students and staff.”

“At UCFB we pride ourselves on the amount of extra-curricular and employability opportunities that we host for our students and staff, and the Sports Law Clinic very much fits into that sort of mould.

“It will provide anyone who is studying, or remotely interested in Sports Business or Law, with unrivalled access to engage with a leading professional from within the sector, which could potentially help kick-start their career or newest business venture.”

Naturally, there will be certain queries that may not be suitable for the solicitor to handle; therefore, anyone who is interested in attending the clinic is requested to complete a pre-consultation questionnaire.

Two Year 2 Sports Business and Sports Law student coordinators will attend the clinic to take notes and discuss each specific case with the solicitor, following every meeting.

In addition, the student coordinators will also have access to the pre-consultation questionnaires in order to research the legal areas prior to each consultation. The Sports Law Clinic will be treated with confidentiality by all parties concerned.

The deadline to complete and return the questionnaire is Friday, 18th October; places are extremely limited, so be sure to complete and return your copy as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment!

Please send all completed questionnaires to Dr. Alexander Chrysanthou on a.chrysanthou@ucfb.com
