UCFB’s home of master’s degrees, Global Institute of Sport (GIS), has partnered with one of its graduates’ sports management agency to provide pathways into sports leadership for the next generation of talent.

Within the new partnership, Avalon Sports Group will connect people from the global sports industry to GIS programmes and events to facilitate knowledge-sharing and
development.

UCFB and GIS students will also be able to learn from Raj Shah’s success as a football and talent agent with Avalon Sports Group, a full-service sports and entertainment agency that provides:

  • Talent representation
  • Personal branding
  • Sponsorship
  • Contract negotiation
  • Wealth management services

Speaking about this new partnership, Avalon Sports Group director Raj Shah said:

“I’m eager to open doors for the future leaders of the sports industry by providing learning pathways through Global Institute of Sport’s programmes whilst simultaneously offering my advice and knowledge to students.”

GIS students can study on-campus at its inspirational Wembley and Etihad campuses or online with optional access to stadium locations in London, Manchester, Miami, New York, Atlanta, Toronto and Melbourne.

GIS also has programmes with residential teaching at Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium or Australia’s iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

GIS head of business development for Asia-Pacific, Ray Boggiano added: “We’re really
pleased to be able to provide clear education and career development pathways for the
next generation of sports leaders within Avalon Sports Group’s extensive network.

“We’re also delighted to link in with Raj Shah to celebrate the success of one of our incredible graduates and provide opportunities for students to learn directly from him.”
