Aside from football, UCFB students are given the opportunity to participate in a wide range of competitive sports. Here, we review each of our sports teams' 2019/20 season, and assess how their performances have impacted UCFB’s overall BUCS ranking, should fixtures not resume following the COVID-19 outbreak.

Futsal

Etihad Campus men’s team - Northern Tier 3A

The futsal team enjoyed a fantastic, yet agonising, 2019/20 season. After being promoted last year, their aim was to avoid relegation which was comfortably surpassed as the team were just one game away from recording successive league titles. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get past a very strong Liverpool side on the final day of the season, and lost the league based on their head-to-head record.

Rugby

Wembley men’s team – South Eastern Tier 6A

Like the futsal team, UCFB Wembley’s rugby team were expected to endure a difficult season after earning promotion to Tier 6A last year, but the team also exceeded expectations after losing just once across the entire campaign to record a third place finish, should their one remaining fixture not go ahead.

Netball

Wembley women’s team – South Eastern Tier 11A

In just their second season, the UCFB Wembley netball team have done extremely well to compete at the top of Tier 11A; the team currently sit in third place, but if their game-in-hand takes place, they could finish second in the table.

Basketball

Wembley men’s team – South Eastern Tier 5A

The men’s basketball team enjoyed their finest season yet after recording their highest ever finish of fifth. James McKeown’s side will be proud of their achievements this term, and will already have one eye on carrying this momentum into next season.

Tennis

Etihad Campus men’s team – Northern Tier 4A

In what was their debut season, the men’s tennis team struggled for players throughout the campaign, but battled well and achieved some respectable results. The team will now look to regroup and strengthen the squad ahead of 2020/21.

Darts

Wembley mixed team – Harrow and District League Division A

Wembley’s mixed darts team have had another fantastic year and are in prime position to earn a second-successive promotion again. The team are also still in the cup, and will be hoping to win the tournament should it resume.

Etihad Campus mixed team

The Etihad Campus’ mixed team have experienced a difficult season after losing its entire playing group following last year’s academic year, and have subsequently struggled to fulfil fixtures. However, the team have been competitive when they have played and will be aiming to hit the ground running next year.
