UCFB’s Global Institute of Sport are delighted to participate in the United Soccer Coaches Convention, taking place in Kansas, USA, between 19th-23rd January.
The event, which is the largest annual gathering of soccer coaches in the US, will return this year, providing exclusive insight into new and emerging coaching methodologies and how industry experts are utilising these in elite environments.
Through a variety of on-field demonstrations, lecture sessions and business halls, the convention provides a holistic understanding of what it takes to succeed as a coach in the modern era, tailoring workshops for both novices of the game and experienced managers.
With GIS launching the MSc Football Coaching and MSc Football Coaching & Analysis programmes in Miami, at Inter Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium, the convention provides an unparalleled opportunity to showcase these pioneering degree programmes across America.
Mike Walsh, GIS’ Dean of School for Sports Coaching and Performance, said: “We are here at the United Soccer Coaches Convention to show what the GIS courses have to offer in Miami. We are excited to launch our MSc Football Coaching and MSc Football Coaching and Analysis Blended courses in Miami in 2022.
“The programmes are designed for those currently working within the football industry or those who aspire to work in the game and take an in-depth look at key contemporary theoretical and practical application, alongside bringing theory to practice”.
Available both as full-time and part-time courses, the degrees provide a unique opportunity to engage in different aspects of football coaching, such as philosophies, tactics and strategies, and reflective practice, with access to world-leading performance analysis tools.
GIS have also recently launched the MSc Sports Directorship programme at Inter Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium, which is designed for industry professionals and leaders, in order to develop and deliver a vision for the long-term success of sporting organisations.
