Employability

 Over 90% of our alumni in full-time employment six months after graduating, and two thirds of these remain in the football and sports industry. Working at the likes of Sky Sports, Formula One and the Major League Soccer (MLS) in America, the range of compelling opportunities within the industry are endless and ever-growing.

We’re proud to have alumni working at 68 out of the 92 English Football League (EFL) clubs, from Partnerships Manager at Liverpool FC to Head of Academy Analysis at Accrington Stanley. More specifically, there are currently UCFB-GIS graduates at 19 out of the 20 Premier League clubs, as the most successful football league in the world has, unsurprisingly, become a bit of a hotspot for alumni determined to make their mark in football and sport.

UCFB Wembley and UCFB Etihad Campus offer students the unique opportunity to grow and learn inside these inspirational stadiums. Our state-of-the-art facilities, including lecture theatres, seminar rooms, a library, media suites and more, ensure that it’s far more than a view of the pitch students have access to.

 

Internships and work placements

Thanks to our extensive network and growing number of partnerships within the football and sports industry, our students have exclusive access to a series of in-demand placements, including Premier League clubs, The Rugby League and international opportunities, such as an exchange programme with Harvard Law School.

These will enable you to develop your skills and knowledge further, while experiencing first-hand what it’s like to work in this fast-paced and multi-faceted environment. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to graduate from UCFB with not only a respected university degree, but a standout CV alongside this, with a number of respected work placements under your belt.

Students also have the chance to visit our global hubs around the world, Inter Miami CF StadiumNew York’s Red Bull ArenaAtlanta’s Mercedes-Benz StadiumToronto FC’s BMO Field and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) . Our annual Global Sports Summits held at each of these venues enables both students and alumni to enhance their knowledge and expertise of the international sports industry.
