Developed and delivered in conjunction with the industry specialist qualification organisation 1st4Sport, the UCFB Level 2 Award in Sport Coaching focuses on the abilities required to be able to plan, deliver and review a series of linked and progressive sport and physical activity coaching sessions, either working independently (if over the age of 18) or as part of a coaching team. This qualification is an ideal next step from the Level 1 Qualification and who are interested in pursuing a career in coaching or wish to enhance their existing coaching skills.

Our open courses are delivered through four face to face delivery days and two assessment dates. Click the module list below to learn more.

Module Phases

Phase 1

Complete associated tasks within their qualification portfolio. This will involve planning 4 linked and progressive sessions in your own environment. We portfolio completion will take a maximum of 12 hours.
Once these elements are completed, you will submit your portfolio to us. This will be assessed by an assessor, and we will provide you with feedback.

Phase 2

Deliver 1 x 20-minute physical activity /sport session in their own environment or UCFB. This should be videoed and sent to us for assessment. Feedback will be provided by an assessor.

Phase 3

Deliver 1 x 20-minute physical activity /sport session in their own environment or UCFB. This should be videoed and sent to us for assessment. Again, this will be assessed, and feedback will be provided.

Course Dates

Dates: 3^rd / 4^th / 5^th / 6^th July 2023

Assessment Date: 17^th / 18^th July 2023

Venue: Hendon FC, Silver Jubilee Park, Townsend Lane, NW9 7NE

Time: 9:30am – 4pm each day
