Senior Lecturer
Sports Coaching and Performance
Helen is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Coaching and an experienced Coach Education specialist with more than 20 years of expertise in higher education, sport coaching and workforce development. She is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA) and is recognised for her leadership in curriculum design, coach education, inclusive practice and student development. She has previously worked for UK Coaching, NGB’s (England Hockey, England Basketball) and Local Authorities.
Helen has led transnational educational initiatives in Hong Kong and Tanzania, supporting culturally responsive and inclusive learning environments. Passionate about empowering learners and developing future sport professionals, Helen is committed to creating engaging, evidence-informed educational experiences that connect, theory, applied practice and personal development.
