Join us at UCFB and work for a pioneering institution that is a world first in higher education, delivering university degrees at iconic campuses at UCFB Wembley and UCFB Manchester.
We have developed a profile of ground-breaking courses to enable those working within the industry to drive forward their career, and to provide a gateway for those aspiring to pursue their ambitions of working in the global multi-billion-pound market sector.
Do you want to come and join the University Campus of Football Business family? We offer a dynamic and stimulating work environment where employees have the opportunity to contribute to the development of future sports leaders.
Working here means being part of a team that collaborates with elite sports organisations and professionals, allowing staff to influence the next generation of talent in the football and sports industry.
At UCFB, we are always on the look-out for talented individuals in the following areas – Academic, Marketing, Student Services, Quality, Administration and more.
We have a standard recruitment process to ensure all applicants are treated fairly and equitably. You can find all our vacancies on the UCFB Vacancies Site and apply by completing an application via the portal.
Once a vacancy reaches its closing date we will create a shortlist using the job description and person specification. Candidates should therefore demonstrate that they meet at least the essential criteria. We aim to contact those who have been shortlisted as soon as possible for either an initial pre-screen call, or a panel interview.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of applicants that we receive for our roles we will be unable to advise or provide feedback on applications if you have not been shortlisted for interview.
All roles require an interview prior to appointment, and these are normally conducted by a panel including the line manager and other senior employees close to the role. The interview process varies between roles but will involve competency questions and can involve a presentation or task. Further details regarding the interview format, as well as interview time and location will be provided by email to those who are shortlisted. Confirmation of attendance must be sent via return email ahead of the date of interview. Certain roles may involve further interviews.
Unfortunately, due to the panels’ diary constraints it is not always possible to offer alternative interview dates, but we will do our best to accommodate where possible.
Once interviews are complete and a candidate is chosen we will then issue a conditional offer of employment, subject to Right to Work, satisfactory references, DBS check etc. We will ask you to accept the offer in writing and provide requested details to allow a smooth process to start employment at UCFB.
At UCFB, we believe that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are fundamental to fostering a thriving academic community. We are committed to building an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
We welcome applications from all candidates that believe in our mission and values and are particularly interested in hearing from candidates that may be underrepresented in our workforce, included, but not limited to females, people with a disability, people from a minority ethnic background and people from the LGBTQIA+ community. Join us in shaping a vibrant, inclusive future for higher education in the UK.
We are committed to making reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process to ensure equality of opportunity for anyone with a disability. Please advise the hiring manager of any requirements at the earliest opportunity or contact Jobs@ucfb.ac.uk for further support. If you have any feedback on the accessibility or inclusivity of your experience with UCFB, please email Diversity-Equity-Inclusion@UCFB.ac.uk.
At UCFB our employees matter and we understand the importance of rewarding our staff and promoting a healthy work-life balance. We have therefore designed a competitive flexible benefits package to incentivise and engage our staff and show them how much we appreciate everything they do.
We recognise that from time to time people fall ill and we have a generous scheme in place based on length of service to support you when this happens.
We realise the importance of supporting your loved ones and offer a generous life assurance policy for all our staff.
We operate an auto enrolment work place pension which is managed and operated by Standard Life. New staff are automatically enrolled three months after they start with UCFB. Contributions are in line with statutory requirements, however you can pay a higher percentage into your pension if you wish (please contact the Human Resources department for further details).
You can claim back the cost of your eye test and the cost of glasses, solely for VDU use.
We understand that not everyone wants the same benefits so we have teamed up with Perkbox to offer you a fantastic range of benefits to choose from yourself.
Some of the benefits include, health cash plan, Denplan, half price cinema tickets, free mobile phone insurance, 20% off Virgin trains, discounted private health insurance, discounted gym membership, hundreds of high street discounts and much more.
We are committed to supporting a family friendly environment for our employees and therefore offer a very competitive occupational maternity / paternity pay.
We also recognise that you may occasionally need time off to care for a dependant that has fallen ill or to deal with a serious personal/family issue. We therefore have a scheme in place to help you deal with those instances including some paid time off and/or unpaid leave.
UCFB provides a framework for colleagues outlining arrangements for how they might split their working time between the workplace and working remotely (typically from home). This supports our colleagues in maintaining a stronger work-life balance whilst supporting our managers to deliver flexible services.
At UCFB, we offer an impressive 30 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays – giving you plenty of time to relax, recharge, and enjoy life outside of work.
In addition to our generous holiday entitlement, we also operate a discretionary two-week Christmas closure period. The best part? You won’t need to dip into your holiday allowance for it!
We believe birthdays should be celebrated, so every member of our team gets an extra day off to enjoy theirs!
We recognise that not everyone is comfortable discussing personal things at work so we provide a free support line and counselling service through Perkbox that can offer support for emotional issues, e.g. anxiety, depression, stress, legal issues including employment law, family property or debt management.
We prioritise the health and wellbeing of our colleagues and are dedicated to supporting a positive work-life balance. That’s why we encourage employees to explore flexible working options through our Flexible Working Policy.
We are dedicated to your ongoing learning and development, providing access to flexible, on-the-go learning through our partner, Staff Skills Academy. With a wide range of courses available, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enhance and expand your skillset.
Additionally, UCFB offer a variety of pathways for growth, including support for academic progression, CPD, qualifications, and other specialised ad-hoc training. We’re here to help our team excel and be the best they can be in their role!
We are committed to employee wellbeing and offer employee’s the opportunity to join Evans’ Ride to Work Scheme. The scheme can help you save money on a bike and spread the cost through salary sacrifice.
We host an annual colleague conference to keep everyone informed about key updates and initiatives for the year ahead. It’s also a great opportunity to network with colleagues from across the institution, building connections and sharing ideas.
The conference is also our opportunity to celebrate all the hard work and commitment our team puts in throughout the year and we recognise those who have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to their role and UCFB.
Designed to recruit talented, hard-working graduates who completed their degrees with us, the 2-year UCFB Graduate Jobs programme, gives an opportunity to work in a specific department within UCFB.
Successful applicants will also have their own mentor, to help ensure they’re settling into the role and gaining as much from the programme as possible. Alongside this, they will have access to industry experts from both our Academic Team and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring graduates are fully immersed in UCFB’s tight-knit community and inclusive culture.
The scheme is open to all UCFB graduates, regardless of subject, for three years after completing their undergraduate degrees.
Applications are now closed for this year’s Graduate Jobs Programme.
*Please note, this programme is for UCFB Graduates only, external applicants will be ineligible to participate
**The role will be based at either Wembley or Manchester Campuses (some travel between sites will be expected)
