Professor Chris Maguire

Professor Chris Maguire has an extensive career in higher and professional education holding executive and board positions at a range of public and private sector institutions (including the universities of City (London), Arden the University of Law, Coventry, Sussex, and BPP), and professional and regulatory bodies, innovative, disrupter start-ups and venture capitalists.

Chris is a reviewer for the UK QAA and has written sections of the UK Quality Code, Advice and Guidance. As an independent consultant he has advised the Nigerian Government, the Cypriot Government, the British Council, World Bank, the Spanish and Belgian Bar Associations, the Irish, Lithuanian and Albanian quality assurance agencies and a range of UK and international HEIs.

Chris is a member and former Chair of the Association of Law Teachers, a member of the SHRE, a former member of HEFCE Quality and Standards Committee and a key-note speaker at a range governmental and academic fora. His areas of research are higher and professional education governance, neuroscientific discoveries in brain and behaviour and, the affective domain within learning and teaching. He has a personal chair in professional education.
