Mill Point are offering face to face viewings.

To book a face to face viewing please book a slot in advance by clicking here.

All rooms at Mill Point are on a 44-week contract.

In the first instance you will need to tell our Student Recruitment & Admissions Office via email at study@ucfb.com

Accessible rooms can be made available on request, and we can allocate ground floor rooms to students with limited mobility.

Please ensure that within your request you mention any medical or other condition which need to be taken into account in the allocation of your accommodation. Such requirements should be indicated on your form, accompanied by written confirmation from a medical practitioner or other professional body, so that we can allocate rooms accordingly. All information provided will be treated confidentially.

If we are not provided with all relevant information at the time of requesting your room, we may not be able to change your allocation at a later date. There is no guarantee that suitable facilities will be available. Please make sure you mention anything that may have a bearing on your health and safety or the health and safety of those living around you.

Student Services will also work closely with you throughout your time at UCFB.

No, this is not required and you can disregard any information you receive on UCFB accommodation.

UCFB would encourage you towards staying in Student Accommodation to fully experience student and campus life. However, renting private accommodation is also an option for some students, such as students with families.

All students are eligible to apply for rooms in halls. First years, returning students and Postgraduate students all currently stay in the accommodation.

If you defer your place before confirming your accommodation bookings with Unite, please disregard any information you receive on accommodation for the current academic year. We will send you the information again for your deferred place at the appropriate time.

If you defer your place after you make the accommodation booking, you should contact us as soon as possible.

Please complete the online form to request your accommodation via the link on the  accommodation page.

You should have received accommodation information by the end of April. If you are a late applicant to UCFB you may receive accommodation information at a later stage.

If you are worried because you have not received any information, please contact our Accommodation Office on +44 20 3780 3806 or via email at accommodationmcr@ucfb.com

You can still request accommodation, however, please always be aware of the cancellation terms and conditions with the accommodation provider directly.

No. Your application for accommodation will immediately begin to be processed as soon as UCFB is informed by the academic registry at our validating partners that you have an Unconditional Firm (UF) place with UCFB.

A deposit is not required. However, there is a payment of £250 towards your first rent instalment and is required at the point of booking.

Unfortunately, this is not usually possible. You will have accepted a contractually binding Tenancy Agreement direct with Unite Students for the entire academic session, on a 44 week or 51 week contract, depending on the room type.

You may cancel your booking within the first 7 days after you made the booking (the “7 Day Cooling-Off Period”). If you do that, Unite will return the payment of advance rent to you. If the 7 Day Cooling-Off-Period has expired, you will have to pay all amounts due under your Tenancy Agreement unless a replacement Tenant is found for your Room.

If you are a prospective first year undergraduate student and your offer of a place is withdrawn by UCFB as a result of you not achieving the required entry grades, you will be eligible to be released from this agreement. You may also be eligible to be released from this agreement if you are a prospective first year undergraduate student and you choose to go to a different University because you have exceeded your expected grades. To apply to be released from this agreement in the circumstances referred to above, you will need to supply Unite Students with the following:

  • A copy of your letter from UCFB withdrawing your offer or UCAS screen shot of your UCAS status which confirms that the required results were not achieved; or
  • A copy of the proof of acceptance of your new university by UCAS adjustment

Rooms are subject to availability and UCFB will be happy to help with any arrangements should this be the case.

UCFB has partnered with Unite Students at Mill Point to offer UCFB Manchester students vibrant, safe and centrally-located student accommodation in the heart of Manchester.

The accommodation is located just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly or Deansgate station. Manchester city centre and its abundance of bars, restaurants and shops are right on your doorstep enabling you to find everything you need to enjoy student life.
