Former Liverpool and Leeds United man Harry Kewell has created his perfect footballer, made up of players he came across during his illustrious career.

Kewell, who played in two UEFA Champions League finals at Liverpool, scored 17 goals for Australia, earning 58 caps, and is now First Team Coach at Celtic FC.

The former Socceroo has told us who he thought from his career had the best right foot, left foot, heading ability, fitness, etc.

He created the player from all these attributes to come up with the ‘perfect footballer’ from his time playing.

Right foot: “He was a gifted player. When we talk about football, he’s usually the one who was never talked about back then, but playing against him was phenomenal. He could pick a pass out. He was a thinking player, and that’s why he’s rated very highly with a lot of players.

Left foot: “He was one of my favourite players of all time. He lit up the show every time he got the ball. He was big and powerful. When they came up against him, defenders thought ‘I have a hard game now.’”

Head: “He could flick on, but he was dangerous in the box, and he was powerful. His heading was like his shooting.”

Fitness: “He could run all day, and again and again.”

Brain: “He would do things and people would just say ‘Oh my God, is that real?’”

Attitude: “He’s no nonsense. I’ve come across a lot of great players with great attitude, but you still see it now when he’s on TV. He still has the passion.”
