University Campus of Football Business, in partnership with the Raheem Sterling Foundation, is proud to announce the launch of two fully funded scholarships for undergraduate students beginning their studies in the 2026–27 academic year.
The scholarships, which will be awarded to one student from UCFB Wembley and one from UCFB Manchester, aim to help close the attainment gap for black British students, support equal access to higher education and increase diversity across the sports industry.
The scholarship is open to students from Black, African and Caribbean heritage from socio-economically under-represented backgrounds studying in Greater London or Greater Manchester.
Consistent with UCFB’s broader scholarship provision, the Raheem Sterling Foundation Scholarship aims to enhance the recipient’s time at UCFB both financially and through experiences and opportunities on the way to securing their dream role in the football and sport industry.
In addition to tuition fees, the scholarship recipients will also receive a £1,000-per-year UCFB bursary, as well as a one-off support payment of £500.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:
Raheem Sterling, professional footballer and founder of The Raheem Sterling Foundation said: “I know first hand how important opportunity is.
“Not everyone starts from the same place, but everyone deserves a fair chance to grow, to learn, and to believe in what’s possible.
“That’s what this scholarship is about. It’s about opening doors for young people who have the talent and the drive, but just need that support to take the next step.
“Working with UCFB allows us to give that opportunity in a meaningful way, and I’m really proud of what we’re building together.
“I’m looking forward to seeing these young people grow, not just in education, but in confidence and belief in themselves.”
UCFB founder and chair, Brendan Flood, said: “At UCFB, growing the diversity of the football and sports industry is focal to what we do.
“This scholarship allows us to take that step in both London and Manchester, two cities not only central to global sport, but also inclusivity and multiculturalism.
“So far, the partnership between UCFB and the Raheem Sterling Foundation has already changed lives and made strides towards the next era of the sports industry. We hope this scholarship continues the progress already made in this direction.”
