We caught up with one of our graduates, who is now working as an executive at a Premier League club.
Ben Leanse, a BA (Hons) Sports Business and Sports Law graduate, is now working as a premium services executive at Brentford FC.
After gaining previous experience at fellow London clubs QPR, Watford and Tottenham Hotspur, Ben made the move to Brentford where he got his current permanent role.
His role includes looking after the hospitality section of the club, such as selling premium tickets for matchdays.
He named skills such as organisational qualities and meeting deadlines, which were transferable from his degree studies at UCFB to his role at Brentford.
He went on to praise the course he studied, saying that it covered the whole sports industry, focusing on both the business and law aspects.
Ben also said that being based at the iconic Wembley Stadium helped him visualise where he wanted to be in his career.
He said: “The best thing about working in sport is the matchdays, without a doubt. You cannot beat the atmosphere and the buzz of the stadium on a matchday and seeing all your hard work and preparation come together.”
