I graduated back in 2015 from a BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching and Education course with the career goal of being a teacher. After travelling the world and watching as much live sport as possible, I was opened up to how vast the sports industry is, and wanted to explore the many jobs it has to offer.
After researching a post-graduate course at UCFB, I ended up securing a job in the Marketing and Student Recruitment department, working with schools and colleges across the country and showcasing UCFB and getting student to realise the true potential sport has to offer.
I’ve worked at UCFB for over 5 years and enjoy developing relationships with organisations to help support students journeys into Higher Education.
Football and Rugby are my main areas, but I watch and follow most sports such as. cricket, Formula 1, darts, athletics and on the odd occasion AFL.
There are too many sporting moments to list that I’ll always remember and be special to me, from Ellie Simmonds winning her first gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, to following the British and Irish Lions through New Zealand and of course the England winning the UEFA Women’s Euros at Wembley Stadium.
Sport is universal, inclusive and adaptable. The opportunities and job roles in sport are only going to grow as people are inspired to take up a new hobby or activity.
What’s better than being in the heart of your favourite sport/club and helping to make a difference.
I am based at our Wembley Campus when on site, but I work with education organisations in the Midlands, West, South West and South Wales.
