Emily is a practicing academic currently completing her PhD with a focus on talent identification and development in football. Emily has a professional background in sports and football development alongside being a UEFA B licence coach with experience of coaching in school, university, community, player development and club academy settings.
As well as being an active professional Emily still volunteers in sport running a grassroots community football club in South London. Alongside being an academic, Emily has a wealth of experience as a coach education tutor, delivering coach education courses, conferences and international study visits for 1st4Sport, UK Coaching, Coaching Xchange and has previously worked as a mentor and coach educator on the Powerhouse Project. As well as a coach developer delivering coach education and talent identification and scouting courses for The FA.
Emily also works for The FA as a National Team Talent Reporter (scout) in the England Women and Girls Talent Pathway. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Emily is a teaching specialist in Higher Education, also achieving a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from Buckinghamshire New University. Emily gained undergraduate degree BSc (Hons) Sports Development and Coaching at the University of Lincoln as well as her postgraduate degree in MSc Sport and Physical Education.
