James is an experienced media lecturer, having worked in higher education since 2015. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he is the course leader for BA (Hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism. Prior to becoming a lecturer he was a news and sport journalist for a number of regional and national newspapers/broadcasters, including the Liverpool Echo, Daily Mail, Daily Star, Daily Express and the BBC, for over 20 years.
