John Davies

Chief Operating Officer

John is a trusted and experienced finance director across multiple sectors. He earned his ACA qualification in professional practice in 1985, before becoming the Group Financial Controller in 1989, at Peel Holdings (now The Peel Group), a leading infrastructure, transport, and real estate investment group. John held this role for 15 years, significantly contributing to the company’s privatisation in 1993. In 2005, he joined The Modus Property Development and investment business, specializing in the development and management of out-of-town shopping centres.

John was a key member of the team that researched opportunities to establish a higher education sports university which led to the creation of UCFB. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, he has oversight of all current operations and academic departments at UCFB. John is also UCFB’s Accountable Officer.
