Jordan Hearne

I graduated from UCFB back in 2016 having completed the BA (Hons) Football Business & finance course with the career goal of working in the business side of the football & sports industry. I have always had a passion for football growing up and was always intrigued on how things worked off the pitch as well as on the pitch.

I’ve worked at UCFB for over 8 years and enjoy developing relationships with organisations to help support students journeys into Higher Education and becoming the future leaders in sport. I have many other sports interests including golf & formula one so I’m always eager to share the fantastic roles that are available across the sports sector.

Sport is fast paced and always changing and that type of environment excites me. The opportunities and job roles in sport are continuing to grow as people are inspired to take up a new hobby or activity. Sport is in everyone’s lives and has impacts not just on other sports businesses but non-sport organisations as well as sport has outreach like no other industry. Sport allows you to work with many organisations and further develop your skills in areas you may not be aware of which could lead to roles outside the industry as well.

Since 2017 I have been the Regional Recruitment Manager at UCFB for Team Central working with institutions across the West & East Midlands. I’m originally from Stourbridge in the West Midlands and I believe a lot of the future leaders in sport will be students I speak to in the region and make a huge difference to this fantastic sports industry.
