Matthew is recognised as one of the youngest course leaders in UK higher education. He also leads on UCFB’s executive education partnership with The Football Association, delivering leadership and governance provision to practitioners across the country. His expertise lies in leadership, sporting strategy and the political economy of the international sports industry, with a focus on how organisations identify opportunity and manage risk in complex sporting environments. Drawing on industry experience across three continents, he has advised on multi-million-pound player and managerial recruitment strategies, supported league sponsorship agreements, and contributed to a successful Premier League points-deduction appeal. He serves as a Trustee Board Member at Croquet England and is undertaking doctoral research in sport strategy, policy and political economy.
