Lecturer in Broadcast Media
Owen is a vastly experienced media professional who has worked for and with some of the biggest names in sports media, including BBC and Sky Sports. He has held the role of journalist, researcher, producer and editor at BBC Sport, as well as head of digital content at Sky. Alongside his role at UCFB, Owen is a senior editor for BBC TV Sports News and SNTV.

Owen has over 30 years’ experience in journalism and broadcasting, beginning as a sports reporter in regional newspapers. His career includes 25 years with national broadcasters (BBC TV and Sky Sports), including working as the chief editorial lead at BBC TV Sports News for six years and head of editorial at Sky Sports digital media for three years.
He is still involved in broadcast media with senior editorial roles at BBC TV in Salford, SNTV (world’s biggest sports news agency) and sports media training with Capricorn Media.
