BA (Hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism

 

Experienced broadcaster, magazine editor, journalist and university lecturer, who won Best Sports Presenter at the 2013 and 2015 Asian Television Awards.

Richard presented live Premier League and international football on Eleven Sports, SingTel and Mediacorp in Singapore, and Sony TV in India, before moving back to the UK. He hosted all 64 games of the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups, 19 consecutive days of 2015 South East Asia Games coverage, and all 51 matches of Euro 2016.

He freelances as a writer, editor and presenter/producer on various projects, and since September 2018 he has lectured in Digital Journalism, Sports Marketing, and Entrepreneurial Journalism at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. He also runs the Multimedia Football Journalism course at UCFB, Wembley.

Richard is the former editor of the critically-acclaimed Football Punk magazine, investment publication CACHE, Fragrance Du Bois, and the award-winning EX, and he now hosts and produces two podcasts – Footballers’ Lives, where he interviews former Premier League greats about their careers, and Mind Over Chatter, a mental health podcast commissioned by MyMindPal.
