Co-opted Non-Executive Director

Sarah is a Co-opted Non-Executive Director at UCFB, bringing over 20 years of experience in higher education and leadership. She has built her career in the post‑92 university sector, specialising in work‑based and employer‑led learning, including higher and degree apprenticeships. Her expertise has influenced national policy and practice, working closely with the Department for Education and serving as co‑chair of the higher education sector employer trailblazer for three years.

Before joining UCFB, Sarah was awarded an Associate Professorship in Work‑Based Education and Skills, with a focus on employer engagement in post‑18 curriculum development. Since 2019, she has held senior academic and professional services roles at UCFB, leading strategic initiatives that connect education with industry needs.
