Coaching graduate Megan earned a position at London-based Bloomsbury Football whilst still in her first year studying at UCFB, where she now works as a lead coach.
Megan, who studied BA (Hons) Coaching and Management at UCFB, joined Bloomsbury Football as an academy coach, before becoming the organisation’s lead coach in the year of her graduation.
“My role involves making sure that training sessions are the best that they can be, so we can support our players to be the best they can be.”
Speaking about her time at UCFB she said: “The experiences and opportunities are unlike any other university, so you’re fully immersed within the sporting industry.
“I’m nothing like the coach I was when I first joined university, and that’s down to learning units of coaching and then applying them while working at Bloomsbury.”
She added: “When at UCFB, I got the She Can Coach Scholarship, so UCFB funded any extra opportunities I might want to do. The main one I wanted to do was the Toronto Summit. It was an amazing experience.
“We got to take part in a coaching session from Terry Dunfield, see the academy setup and network the whole time we were out there.”
