Network the heck out of everything
Anything you can go to, show up. You’ve got to be there. Meet as many people as you can and network at events that might not necessarily be of sporting nature. Just network because you never know who you might meet wherever you might be.
Venture outside of your comfort zone
You’re going to have to do it at some point in your life. Don’t just sit back and wait for an opportunity to happen. Put yourself out there, but equally, if there’s an opportunity that you think you might want to take, but might not feel at all comfortable, just go for it. Everyone has to start somewhere and everyone ends up, at some point in their careers, doing a role or a job that they might not necessarily feel like is for them. But you just don’t know until you put yourself out of your comfort zone.
Ask
Ask for opportunities, ask for help and ask for contacts. But also equally, if you have already got into a workplace or you are doing what you want, ask questions. Don’t be afraid to answer the silliest of questions, because you will never know unless you ask.
