GIS are delighted to announce the opening of the first of our Masters scholarships for 2022 course start dates.

Women in the Game Scholarship

This scholarship programme is a part of our #GetOnside pledge to Women in Football (WiF).

It is open to outstanding female applicants holding an offer for an MSc programme with GIS (including online and blended). Candidates should have an interest in football and the wider sport industry, the ability to set clear goals and have the drive to achieve them. The selection process will address the diversity criteria, ensuring that a range of candidates from ethnic, socially diverse backgrounds, as well as from groups with other protected characteristics, apply for the programme.

The scholarship students will benefit from a partnership between UCFB/GIS and Women in Football. Recipients of the scholarship will receive a 15% tuition fee reduction for any of GIS’s postgraduate programmes. They will also be expected to not only commit themselves to an academically rigorous programme of study but also become involved in a work placement with a partnering football league club in the UK.

Additionally, a number of top-ranked applicants may benefit from the professional expertise offered by Women in Football and their partners through the leadership course training.
