If you’ve accepted a place at another university but no longer wish to take it, you’ll need to withdraw from that offer first. You can do this via your UCAS Hub or by contacting the university directly.

Important: Before making any changes, call the university you’re interested in to check if you’re eligible for a Clearing place. That way, you won’t risk losing your current offer without having another option lined up.

  • Check Your Email – Look out for your offer, and make sure to double-check the course and campus details.
  • Log in to UCAS Hub – Add UCFB as your Clearing choice.
  • We’ll Confirm Your Place – Once you’ve added us, we’ll confirm your spot and your UCAS will update to show you’ve been accepted.
  • Time to Enrol! – Complete your enrolment with both UEL and UCFB. Need help? Check out our Enrolment FAQs.

Good news! Our accommodation partners offer student rooms on a first come, first served basis — so the earlier you apply, the better your chances of getting your preferred spot.

Once you’ve accepted your offer to study at UCFB, you can go ahead and apply for accommodation.

Don’t worry — we’ve got your back!

We’ll support all first-year students in finding a great place to live near our campuses, so you can focus on settling in and making the most of student life.

  • Get Your Info Ready – Gather these key things before you start:
    – UCAS ID (if you already have an account) and your personal details
    – Photos of your exam results (Level 3 Qualifications, Maths & English)
    – A copy of your CV (this is optional, but it can help!)
  • Search for Courses – Use the UCAS Clearing tool or visit university websites to find courses.
Double-check the entry requirements and UCAS points (Use the UCAS Calculator if needed!)
  • Call Universities – Get ready to chat about:
    – Your grades and why you’re passionate about the course
    – Questions about course details, accommodation, and support
    – Don’t forget to take notes during your call!
  • Accept an Offer – Once you get an offer, add the course in UCAS Hub.
Remember, you can only add one Clearing choice at a time.

Clearing at UCFB (University Campus of Football Business) provides prospective students with an opportunity to apply for available undergraduate courses in the football, sport, and events industries. This process is particularly beneficial for those who did not secure a place through the main UCAS application cycle, whether due to not receiving offers, declining offers, or not meeting offer conditions.

There’s no getting away from it – A-level results day can be a stressful time… Even more so if you’re about to enter Clearing. Working out where you’re going to live and what you’re going to study over the next few years of your life is not a decision that should be made lightly.

So, to help you through the day, we’ve put together a list of what you should do before results day to best prepare yourself for the day, and what to do should you enter Clearing.

  • Timing is everything – Find out in advance what time your school opens on results day.
  • Keep it local – You must collect your results in person. Should your results mean you’re to enter Clearing, universities and other higher education institutions will want to speak to you directly, so make sure you’re near a phone or the internet.
  • Relax – It might seem stressful, but it will be alright if your results don’t go exactly to plan. Speak to your teachers, careers advisors and parents and get their advice on your next steps. Many students who go onto higher education through Clearing often say it worked out better for them in the long run.
  • It’s good to talk – Seek out somewhere you can talk in peace, and make sure your phone is fully charged.
  • Get clued up – We have a number of articles and videos you can read and watch to give you further advice and information.

  • Personal statement – Go through your personal statement and highlight the parts you feel showcase you and your academic abilities the best. Remember, you’ll be selling yourself to potential institutions.
  • Notebook – It’s old school, but you’ll need to make notes throughout all of your calls. It’s easy to forget vital information when you’re consuming so much of it in a short space of time. Remember to take the contact details of the people you speak to, also.
  • UCAS Personal ID number – If you have already applied in UCAS remember to have your personal ID number ready as you will need to give it to each institution you call.
  • Questions – Prepare questions about your chosen course and the institution. Write them down so you don’t forget, and prepare a subsidiary question too. This shows you are genuinely interested and it’s better for you to have all your questions answered to make an informed decision.
  • Exam results – Please be sure to know the full names of the qualifications and subjects that you have studied and grades you have achieved. You will be asked to provide this information when you call. Many qualifications have similar names so it is important that you provide the correct information. If your clearing application is successful you will be required to send in evidence of your results in order for your application to be reviewed for an offer.

Clearing allows universities to fill any remaining course spaces — and it’s your chance to find the right fit if you haven’t yet secured a place. While entry criteria usually remain the same at this stage in the admissions cycle, UCFB is looking for students with the potential to thrive.

If you’re interested in joining UCFB, we strongly encourage you to call our Clearing hotline. A member of our Future Students Team will be happy to talk through your qualifications, experience, and course options.

This is your chance to shine. Use the call to highlight your strengths, achievements, and what makes you a great fit for UCFB. Show us your passion, your goals, and your potential — we’re excited to hear from you.

UCAS Clearing is here to support anyone who doesn’t currently hold an offer for September. Whether you’ve already applied through UCAS and are currently unplaced, or you haven’t started an application yet, you’re welcome to give our Clearing hotline a call. We’re here to help you take the next step.
