Global Academy and UCFB announce landmark partnership to bridge media and sports industries 

Global Academy and University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) today announced a groundbreaking partnership designed to foster a unique educational and professional development bridge between the media and sports industries. This collaboration will provide students from both institutions with unprecedented access to industry expertise and opportunities, enhancing their career prospects in the dynamic world of sports media.  

This strategic partnership will leverage Global Academy’s cutting-edge media facilities and deep industry connections with Global, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment groups, alongside UCFB’s unparalleled access to the heart of the sports industry, including its iconic Wembley Stadium campus.

·         Cross-Institutional Access: Students from both Global Academy and UCFB will benefit from facilitating immersive learning experiences. Global Academy students will gain invaluable insights into the sports industry at UCFB’s Wembley Campus.  

·         University Pathway: Global Academy students will gain access to a university level course, expanding the educational opportunities available to them, and bridging the gap between academy level and higher education.

University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) is a world-first in higher education, offering undergraduate and postgraduate university degrees tailored to the football and sports industry. Whether relating to sports coaching, media, business or whichever specific field, UCFB’s degree courses provide students with the knowledge, skills and experience required to secure a career within the industry. These courses are delivered at UCFB’s two inspirational UK-based campuses (Wembley and Manchester) as well as the Miami Campus in the United States. In addition to the unique degree courses, UCFB also run a number of sports industry-focused executive education courses alongside VSI Executive Education.  

Global Academy, which recently was rated Outstanding in key areas by Ofsted – will work closely with UCFB on its delivery of its new Level 3 Sports Media sixth form pathway from September 2025. The unique course for 16-18 year old students will give students the chance to develop the skills and knowledge for a career in the sports media, marketing and broadcast sector by providing hands on practical learning with employers and partners in their state of the art media training facility in West London.
