One of our media students has been talking to us about how quickly her sports industry career has progressed since joining UCFB.
Rio Rosenberg, a BA (Hons) Football Business and Media student, said that the skills she has gained so far from her degree have been crucial to her success at such an early stage of her career.
She said: “The course has been exceptional, learning so many skills within the industry. The course has helped me massively when I have gone into the industry.”
Rio has taken full advantage of going and grabbing opportunities alongside studying for her degree.
So far, she has become head of women’s football coverage for HaytersTV, as well as hosting the Euro Women’s Roadshow with Middlesex FA at Tower Bridge.
She is also currently working with FA as a presenter for the upcoming Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
When asked about her time so far at UCFB, Rio added: “I don’t think I’ve been in an environment where all the girls love football.
“The people you surround yourself with is so important, and you will find that out pretty quickly at university.
“The lecturers, module leaders, everyone surrounding the university. I think they have all really helped me on my journey, and I wouldn’t be where I am now without what UCFB has given me.”
While at UCFB, Rio has also been attending our Global Sports Summits, and was a global ambassador on our recent summit visit to Toronto.
