A few of our coaching students have been offering their advice to future UCFB students at our first Open Day held at Old Trafford Football Stadium.
We held two Open Day sessions at the Theatre of Dreams, which were very well attended, with young and keen enthusiasts finding out everything about life at UCFB to become the next generation of sports industry professionals.
During the sessions, prospective students and parents got the opportunity to speak to alumni, lecturers and current students.
They heard stories, advice and what they can expect from studying a degree at UCFB.
BA (Hons) Football Coaching and Management student Esme Critchley said: “My favourite thing about UCFB is probably the networking. For example, all the people I get to know around me, who are not just on my course, but also lecturers and people from all different courses.
“I’ve found a lot of positions that I’m in now through networking at UCFB and I’ve managed to grow and learn from these people around me.”
Daniel Golding, a BA (Hons) Football Coaching and Talent Development student, said: “My time at UCFB has been fantastic really. I’ve been able to go to different training grounds, such as the Cliff. Being a Manchester United fan, that was massive.
“I’ve learnt so much from the lecturers. What is really good about the lecturers is that they coach in the industry as well as lecturing. I get really on the ball experience.”
