What is Clearing?

Clearing is your chance to apply directly to universities for undergraduate courses. If you’ve had second thoughts about university this year, it’s the perfect opportunity to jump in and start chasing your career goals in 2024! 

Who can apply for Clearing? 

You can apply through Clearing if you: 

  • Are making your first application after 30 June 2024 
  • Didn’t receive any offers 
  • Didn’t meet the conditions of your offers 
  • Have changed your mind about what or where you want to study 

We recommend starting your research early to be well-prepared when you’re ready to apply. Remember, you can only make a Clearing application with us once you’ve received your exam results. 

Clearing provides a second chance to find the right course and university for you. Take advantage of this opportunity and ensure you’re ready when the time comes to apply! 

How can I decide on the right course for me? 

Deciding on where and what you’ll be studying for the next three years can be challenging, but it’s important to choose what excites you the most. Where can you see yourself studying? What career would you like to pursue? Take a deep breath and be careful not to rush into your decision!  

You may wish to speak to someone you trust, like a friend or family member, before deciding. Do plenty of research on the universities you’re interested in by looking at their websites, finding out what the course involves, the subject, and entry requirements to help you choose.  

Remember, the right course is one that matches your interests and career goals. Take your time to explore your options and choose what’s best for you! 

What courses are offered through UCFB Clearing? 

Explore the full breadth of the sports industry with an undergraduate degree from UCFB. Our programs are designed to prepare you for a successful career in the competitive sports business. All our undergraduate courses are available for application through Clearing.

How do I apply for an undergraduate course through Clearing? 

Once you’ve identified universities offering courses that interest you, make a note of their Clearing hotline numbers. UCFB’s Clearing hotline is 0333 0161 244, and you can also reach us via email at clearing@ucfb.com.  

Have a list constructive question ready to ask the admissions advisors for when you call and show plenty of enthusiasm during your call! 

When will I know I have a place at University? 

Once you’ve selected a course and institution, you will need to work with their admissions team to confirm your place. You might need to log in to UCAS to select your course, complete an application form or send in certificates for qualification. Calling the Clearing hotlines will guide you through the process, including admissions.  

When can I confirm my place through Clearing?  

Get ready for a busy day on 15 August, as this will be the time to call Clearing hotlines and decide on your options for studying in September. Take a deep breath and remember to make lots of notes and ask questions on the day!
