Ella has extensive experience in many roles within elite sport. She previously captained and competed for Chelsea, Fulham and as an England international youth player and was a Division 1 student-athlete in the USA for Louisiana State University. She was also part of 2012 cohort for the prestigious Jaguar Acdemy of Sport Rising Stars programme which included mentors such as David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand, Dame Kelley Holmes and Sir Chris Hoy. She has also coached at Fulham and Leicester City. In conjunction with her role at UCFB, she currently competes as a semi-professional player for Fulham FC Women after transitioning from her role as the team’s lead data analyst during the 22/23 season.
Ella specialises in research methods as well as interpersonal dynamics in sport and exercise psychology. She recently completed her PhD at Loughborough University where she worked with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and International Tennis Federation (ITF) to investigate the interpersonal dynamics between parents and coaches across the youth tennis pathway. She has experience delivering to coaches on CPD programmes for various NGBs and continues to develop parent-coach education content with the LTA and ITF.
